I suggest that the puppy remastering tool must be improved
It must have ability to remaster puppy from frugal install, live usb and even on live cd image
improve puppy remastering tool
I agree that the remastering tool could be refined. What I miss the most, is a grouped list of modified and added files, compared to the original .iso. That would make the process of eliminating those you don't want in the new .iso a lot easier, instead of relying on the script to make that decision.

I am not sure what you mean, I have never used anything but live discs, and I have remastered most puppys several times. It does, however, depend on the amount of RAM available; does it provide enough space for the livecdbuild, or do you have to depend on extra storage media like a harddisk or a USB memory stick. If you shall have the possibility to modify the files in your new build before making an .iso, you definitely need that space....even on live cd image

True freedom is a live Puppy on a multisession CD/DVD.
Hi!
You can try this: http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic. ... 000#674000. It works in Lucid, Three Headed Dog and one User did use it successfully to remaster a precise derivative.
