I suggest that the puppy remastering tool must be improved


It must have ability to remaster puppy from frugal install,live usb and even on live cd image

I agree that the remastering tool could be refined. What I miss the most, is a grouped list of modified and added files, compared to the original .iso. That would make the process of eliminating those you don't want in the new .iso a lot easier, instead of relying on the script to make that decision.

I am not sure what you mean, I have never used anything but live discs, and I have remastered most puppys several times. It does, however, depend on the amount of RAM available; does it provide enough space for the livecdbuild, or do you have to depend on extra storage media like a harddisk or a USB memory stick. If you shall have the possibility to modify the files in your new build before making an .iso, you definitely need that space.

You can try this: http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic. ... 000#674000. It works in Lucid, Three Headed Dog and one User did use it successfully to remaster a precise derivative.
