Time Zone in Firefox wrong?

#1 Post by mrwilloby »

A couple of different websites I visit seem to be getting the time incorrect on my computer. Is there anything I can do locally to fix it?

My system time in the BIOS and the Puppy clock both are set to my local time. The websites seem to list the time as GMT. When in Windows, they pick up the time correctly.

It's only important because one of the sites is one where I submit music I've played in my player to keep stats of it. If my submissions are dated before files that have already been submitted (by playing something on another machine) they won't be accepted.

Any ideas?

BTW, just checked this post and the time on this forum is correct with my local time.

I've had at least 1 program complain about the TZ in puppy, and I don't know how firefox reads the time.

My problem comes from the TZ being set PUP -7, and no one recogizing PUP as a valid TZ, instead of listing it as MST -7, or MDT -7 (and their eqilivants for the other 24+ TZs).
There is a yellow one that won't accept the black one
That won't accept the red one that won't accept the white one
And different strokes for different folks
