Tried several Puppies in an old computer: no sound

i have no sound in old computer, i try precise puppy, puppy 4.3.1. puppy 2.x, sound card is nvidia, sorry for my english, i speake russion, pleas help

Check your bios when starting the PC, maybe sound is turned off.
If everything is OK in bios, run the command alsaconf in a terminal window, and see if you have a working sound system at all.

thank you, i can't. check it now but i thing that bios settings is ok, becouse widows boot with sound, i will try alsaconf second time

You to find out which module your soundcard needs and whether its being loaded or not.
Try to find the exact model of your card using
PuppyMenu > System > HardInfo
Check the sound modules loaded using the terminal command-
lsmod | grep snd

its compled, i have a sound, i tryed to set my sond card with alsaconf, its not work, its had some errors, cant load some mofuls, i tryed choos my sound card with alsa wizard, its work!

o, i am forgot, it was other computer, not old, notebook hp pavilion g6

no, in the first run sound not work in many puppys i was tryed, but i can set sound in dpup wheezy, it have two ways
1. alsa wizard
2. i use ubuntu way, in alsa-baise.conf must add in the end
snd-hda-intel model=generic
