Do you still have a Windows installation disk, or any kind of recovery disk for Windows?

hey coffee
the following is best done with a puppy live cd:
boot puppy as pfix=ram (from boot menu)
locate the puppy install files and delete them along with the menu.1st entries
from terminal run | Code: | | ms-sys -m -w /dev/sda | (assuming sda is the drive it's installed to)
have just done the same thing on my son's win7 machine that he was selling

If Win7 is still bootable:
It has easy methods for burning a repair disc and for
making a system backup.

Rjbrewer, will that also repair a mangled boot sector? Or is that even necessary as long as Grub can be configured to boot Windows?

The poster said he (removed) Puppy and also wants to
remove Grub, which is still booting Win.???
The repair disc will automatically repair any problems that
are preventing Win7 from booting.
I have a backup image of my Win7 install on a external drive
and the repair disk is also used for starting that backup
image when reinstalling.
An interesting use of Gru4dos and Win7 repair disc:

Honestly : Fire up Puppy Live Cd and run this ms-sys command as ally posted .
If you have no ms-sys : ms-sys
Then throw away the computers and dvds out of windows !

No your question is not clear. If Windows will boot, why do you want to remove Grub? If you just don't think Grub ought to be there, several of the answers above should remove it. Did you try any of them?
