Dictionary Software for Fatdog 64

#1 Post by paulski »

I need to use multi language dictionary software often.

Wanting to work in 64 bit I didn't want to lose some of my favorites.

MU did some fantastic work before on PBdict using puppy basic (aka wxbasic) and dictd

I managed to build them in fatdog 611 64 bit:

Pbdict2 Dictd and Puppybasic "team"
I had to install all of these to get to my goal of getting PBdict2 running again:

dictd-1.12.0-x86_64.pet

--Dependency for dictd

libmaa-1.3.2-x86_64.pet

PuppyBasic-2.6_x86_64.pet

The original PBdict2 from MU--- it should work except the two 32 bit binaries for stardict conversion

Ding
Another program I use is ding as a for German English dictionary

ding 1.5 --German English Dictionary

It needs TCL and TK libraries. The ones from the main fatdog repository worked
http://distro.ibiblio.org/fatdog/pets/6 ... 8.5.11.pet
http://distro.ibiblio.org/fatdog/pets/600/tk-8.5.9.pet

feel free to mirror the pets i have on box.net -- i can't promise they will be there forever.
