pet overwrites icons and desktop files from the sfs with sets copied from my 6.1 pet install. adding the icons was probably unnecessary, but this should fix any sfs installation's .desktop and menu entry problems.

(pet shouldn't be necessary and the redundant icon install will do no harm, but if the LO 6.1 sfs doesn't launch for you, try this)

here's the 6.2 version:
libre6.2.desktops.pet

to reuse icons you may have dragged to choice positions on your desktop, right click the icon, select edit, and change the 6.1 to 6.2. (i find this easier than deleting the old and dragging in the new).

fwiw, there's now a "tabbed" interface choice available, but it seems it's just a new way to group menu items--there's apparently still no browser-like tab function (which i find a bit disappointing).

Many thanks, Puppus Dogfellow, but I have a suggestion to members who place downloads on Google Drive. Please indicate in the forum post the size of the file and md5sum. I don't know about other browsers, but Firefox cannot provide a meaningful progress bar with Google Drive. I can't tell how long the download will take and if I got it all (ISP sometimes truncate the download)

It isn't that bad. Google Drive does tell the size when their limit is exceeded.

This LibreOffice packages were compiled or generated by forum members either manually or using the get-libreoffice utility by 01micko and the sfs2pet-20121001 tool by TheAsterisk! (unless specified), and put here for reference. The packages should work for most Puppy Linux versions. Some packages include a second language, for example French (fr) or Spanish (es). However, LibreOffice will set to the system language or the language you choose at Tools > Options > Languages, so you can perfectly use any of these LibreOffice packages in English, or in any other language by installing a langpack, see the language packs section at the end of the post.

Instructions probably have been posted previously. But, as peebee wrote above, "LibreOffice-6.4 has dropped GTK2 support...", this seemed like a good place to provide instructions for turning off LibreOffice's nag about updating if you decide to continue to use older versions.

Open LibreOffice
Select Tools > Options from the Menu
Select Online Update
UNCHECK "Check for Updates Automatically".
