PostPosted: Sun 05 May 2013, 21:15    Post subject:  Gramps .pet Install Broke Desktop.

EeePC,701 4G running Saluki, full install.

This install has been operating faultlessly until I attempted to add the Gramps .pet Following this, the Desktop icons and the Shutdown and Reboot squares in that sub-menu have disappeared, the Desktop no longer responds to right-clicks, and Wallpaper changes do not take effect until a reboot. Restarting X has no effect. A search of the 639 hits resulting from a "disappeared" entry found nothing for me.
Is there a way to recover from this or is it a re-install job? Can I save and copy my current Luki-save file back successfully?
Gramps didn't start, but that's not the end of the world, and I removed it again. Another topic...

Thanks.
