@Kooliepup helps in an effort to centralize the UEHI topic relating to Puppy PC setup and boot with successful scenarios we've found..
Most/some/many Puppy members, by now, have a Google ID. Many of those with Google IDs also use it for sharing information via the Puppy thread on Google Plus.
I have created a document just for the purpose of being a springboard for all Puppy developers to incorporate its information into their distros for user access and PC startup understanding.
The community document created is here: titled 'Your PC BIOS and your Puppy Disto Startup'
Currently, that document will be contributed to by any one of us who has a Google ID. It is something that can be downloaded into any format one wants for his/her needs: thus that can be odt/doc/pdf/html/... whatever should the user want.
It is ONLY ASKED, that should you contribute understand that, like the forum, you contribute freely as this is an Open Puppy Contribution document. ALSO, ANY Puppy member, who has any idea on how to a editor, can contribute to the document and its format. This is a community document for community contribution to community understanding of Booting Your PC from a Puppy ISO or CD/DVD disc.
Please contribute, correct, add pictures, tables, audio, video or everything that you, personally feel, would help users understand the relationship between your computer's BIOS and "Puppy Distro Start-up".
If you do NOT have a Google ID, disregard this thread as it does NOT apply to you. You will still be able to read the document as it will be publicly search-able. (This post is NOT an encouragement to anyone to get an ID. Again this is NOT an encouragement and DOES NOT REQUIRE A Pro or Con RESPONSE.
Should anyone want to contribute, just contribute.)
My reason for selection of this approach is that it freely allows open collaborative contribution to a single document for the community's good. Your contributions to it are for the public Puppy membership's use, in what it intends to provide.
This ALSO, STRONGLY encourages everyone to appropriately comment in this thread, as well, as you choose. Please, everyone, understand that the document is aimed to be an easy source for users to understand and take appropriate steps in support of their PC for use with Puppy Linux. And, it is a "document". It is NOT a blog, and it is NOT a forum. So, please don't use it as such.
