Have you tried it in either one of those? It should work I think. If it doesn't, please tell us if you get an error message (and what the error message is) when you install it or try to run it from a console (by entering copy-fast).

The problem is likely getting the right click menu to work
on a non-Rox operating system. Or maybe it uses the CopyTo folder
rather than the OpenWith folder.

xenial 64 bit wrote:Default File Manager - pcmanfm with option to use rox.

I'll download and try to make a package for these .
It requires an install script.

It should be possible to use it with thunar if the install script is correct.
There is still problems with the invisible folder that some distributions have. I explained this here.
http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic. ... 950#707950

I'll check.

It can be used with pcmanfm as the file manager.
Install pet package first. Then ....
Put an action .desktop files into /usr/local/share/file-manager/actions
Remove the fake gz extension and put the desktop file in
/usr/local/share/file-manager/actions

Good explanation here

It's "action" for pcmanfm right-click, not to run from the Desktop. (as explained clearly by don570, btw)

I downloaded StretchDog32. It uses xfce. I'll check copy-fast with this distro. https://github.com/fredx181/StretchDog/ ... -10-10.iso
and bionic upup 32 bit

@zagreb
If you have the "copy-fast" script in PATH (e.g. in /usr/local/bin), then create new Thunar custom action and set to: see below screenshots.
And it will appear in right-click menu from Thunar.

What you mean with "dead.." ?
Copy-fast does not appear or... ?
Is copy-fast in PATH ? Check with:

Code: Select all

which copy-fast
If it's not, there's the problem, I guess.

EDIT: I found that it works ok if you just extract the .pet, find the copy-fast script and copy to /usr/local/bin. Simple enough !

Strange... you do have folder /root/Startup, right ? If so, what you see when running from terminal

Code: Select all

copy-fast /root/Startup
The copy-fast gui appears, yes ?
If so, select a directory and click 'Copy', what happens ?
Any messages in terminal ?

You do have gtkdialog installed ?

That's bad, gtkdilaog is installed as you show, do other gtkdialog based apps run ? (e.g. pfind)
If not, I'd say something is very wrong with your xenialdog install.
no messages in terminal
I see errors from sed.
