I admit I do not know because I have never tried with another window manager! But (a priori), there is no reason this does not work! Please, try, and tell us what's happening...

Hello musher0.
It works with Rox (nothing to do with JWM).
If you are using Rox, then it's ok.
I do not think it could work with xfce/Thunar environment.
