Ich meine irgendwo gelesen zu haben, dass pet's einfach gz-ippte Dateien sind, mit angehängter Prüfsumme. Kann das sein?
Einige Pet's beinhalten ja eingentlich "nur" ein paar Shellscripte incl. einiger GtkDialoge. Diese Scripte müssten doch auf (fast) allen Linuxen laufen (vorrausgesetzt, die Komandozeilen Programme, die damit gesteuert werden sind vorhanden) ? Finale Frage: Wie macht man das?

Du kannst dir pet2tgz auch sparen und die Datei von *.pet einfach in *.tar.gz umbenennen. Hab ich zwar noch nicht von einer Konsole aus getestet, aber schon des öfteren aus ROX. Bricht zwar mit einer Fehlermeldung ab (vermutl. wg. der Prüfsumme, macht aber nix.
