In 4.1.2 xine plays perfectly with my Hauppauge Nova-T card.

In Lucid it just freezes as soon as it, xine, is opened.

Deleted the Lucid xine and copied/installed 0.99.5 from 4.1.2.

Now I am able to start xine, select the playlist i.e. channels to be played, but when I click DVB xine freezes.

Any ideas what is broken/missing?

Hi Mercedes !

Sure you want to start a project to recompile (g)xine ?
Sure you had enough drinks to hit the right forum section ?

gxine is a beast when it comes with enabled spider mode internet-lookup , freezing itself at startup - sometimes even kill -9 does not remove it from /proc/PID .
