#1 Post by friedsonjm »

Wondering if anyone has configured Puppy for NAS with user control... and if so, what kind of interface the users have available to them? thanks, jf

I am trying to set up network file storage that clients running Windows boxes can access their files from. I have to be able to control access to directories by user name, or via user/group. thanks, jf

There are a number of Samba server packages available for Puppy. A simple one is here. It lets you set up individual user accounts on the server.
