Most network cards support PXE (net) booting. For PXE however you need to be hard wired (ethernet cables).
You can use a puppy such as http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic. ... 518#871518 to establish a PXE server, that dishes out boot images (vmlinuz, initrd ..etc) in a somewhat similar manner to how Grub4Dos works. Allowing other PC's on the same lan to boot puppy simply by changing the BIOS setup to look to boot from lan before CD/HDD/USB.
For 'wireless' PXE there's the possibility of using a bridge, in effect two ethernet to wireless units that use proprietary wireless that requires no setting up (pre-configured, plug and play). Such that both ends are ethernet, but with wireless link between.
