Sorry the fault is mine, I didn't realize that precise puppy was not a 64bit os. I just assumed it was.

Thanks for the help, much appreciated.

8)

Just out of interest, is there anyway I can hack precise to get it to run in 64bit mode?

You said you have been playing with the 64bit distros. Whats your recommendation for one that has the same performance/stability as precise?

Thanks again.

Hello wibble

Any 64bit Puppies usually indicate the fact by including '64' in the name.

That would be some serious 'hack' i reckon, therefore i would have to say no.

Well, 64bit Puppies i have yes.

I haven't used any of them long enough to give recommendations unfortunately.

Currently i'm taking this for a spin: Lighthouse 64 602 Beta2 with GIMP-2.8.4 (just the basic version @ 257MB)

The only other one is this: Fatdog64-620 Final (17 April 2013) and 621 (9 May 2013)
as already pointed out by simargl

Just give them both a whirl and decide for yourself which you prefer.
