Puppy Linux never ceases to amaze me, Ever since I first discovered Puppy back in 2008 Puppy has always impressed me.

Many lightweight operating systems seem to only have minimal multi-core support, Puppy Linux is different!!

I just built a system using the new AMD FX-8350 CPU for media encoding and web hosting. I decided to use Puppy to test some things out and was surprised to see that it can RECOGNIZE and USE all 8 cores!

I am using Puppy Precise 5.4, and everything works flawlessly!

Thanks to Barry Kauler and the Puppy development team for creating such a flexible OS!

To check for how many CPU your current kernel supports :
/etc/modules/DOTconfig* wrote:CONFIG_NR_CPUS=4
in the above case : /etc/modules/DOTconfig-K2.6.30.5-01SEPT09-TICKLESS-SMP .
