Are you connected by parallel port or USB?

?????
Are you talking about the epson_inkjet_printer escpr-1.2.2.pet? I just checked and the download is still live.

In any case, it does not apply to your C79. But the Gutenprint driver package in Slacko should support it.

There are two stages to installing a printer in CUPS.

1. Detecting the physical device.
2. Picking the correct software driver.

Please describe step-by-step in detail what you are doing to install the printer. Where is the problem occurring?

I changed USB port for the 1000th time and it worked.
It should work in any port right?
Thanks.
