Welcome Mate! Here, scroll down this page, confirm the md5 and tell us how you burned the cd.

md5 check sum is 8ad170c46b523436776398fa5ce39fa4. the checksum matches with my downloaded file.
I burned the cd from my cousin's computer (with windows xp) with freeISOburner at 10x; was the lowest burn speed.

You mean this? Aside from bad media, hard to say another app would've worked any better.

Have you been able to boot other Linux distros with the same media and burning methods?

yes I have used the same burner. I have never used Linux or live cd before. my laptop doesn't boot with windows 7 so I want to transfer the data on my HD to my external hard drive. I will try burning with another iso burner.

" how to use wifi network in puppy Linux?"

Frisbee.

:::::::

It could take up to 45 seconds to connect.

Lucid 5.28 v5 Frisbee to setup wireless...

The Frisbee Pet(installer) is not activated in Puppy Lucid
and is either under networks or Internet.

In Lucid 5.28 it is in Network????????????

Run the pet

wait at least 10 - 45 seconds

Now try Connect...Frisbee should be a third option.

" If it won't play right...try this...

Change the >> Ap_scan Parameter

http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... &start=435
