When to do up-to-date maintenance DebianDog?

#1 Post by Muggleborn »

When is best to update around an install of DebianDog?

I think DebianDog is different from most Puppies, so update the Live version, THEN install, or just install then update?

Thanks!

With Puppy once installed update PPM. Some of the newer Pups like Xenial update alerts via update managers, anyway just check forums as well for updates.

short answer post install. Some browsers like Firefox update themselves.

By the way what are you running or will be running?

Hi,

Sorry for being unspecific:I am trying DebianDog Jessie.

Upgrades will be by Synaptic.

Thanks

Just install and then update. Not sure how you'd do it the other way around.

After you update, you can remaster (it is very easy, easier than Puppy) if you want to, but that is totally optional.
