It's resource-hungry in comparison to dropbox but you have several other benefits. From the simplest (desktop notifications and nice web interface) to the most important (huge space & fair sharing).Puppus Dogfellow wrote:too late (on one.) i'm sure it's just a matter of uninstalling and reinstalling, but pet over pet usually works pretty well--didn't in this case. it's a full install and i used the sfs load program afterward, but still only got the icon opening the folder (which was better than the error message about sql something not working or not being found or...).koulaxizis wrote:I suppose that the best method is to unload the old sfs and load the new one. so i'll uninstall all traces of it and reinstall the newer one to see if it works as well for me as the older one. only complaint i had with it was its resource usage compared to dropbox and spideroak as it didn't seem like it was doing anything much different or differently than those two programs. the machine it's messed up on now only has a gig of ram so it'd be worth it to check if that's the improvement they made. can always go back to the earlier version. maybe refer myself to myself and pick up another five gig of storage...
