How to not use swap on Puppy 2.0.1? - (Solved)

#1 Post by PaulBx1 »

I am experimenting with not using swap on a laptop that has a lot of memory (testing Puppy security capabilities). I tried "noswap" in the grub cheat codes (or whatever those parameters are called) but that didn't do it.

I suppose I could always remove the swap partition, if there is no other way to tell Puppy not to use it. Unfortunately that's not feasible if I borrow another's computer. Please let me know if there is an easier way.

I have tried searching for this information, with no luck.

Never mind. I just realized I could use the swapoff command to turn it off, after boot.
