Nokia sold at 2% of their 2010 market cap. Their mistake was choosing the wrong OS. Even if Sailfish kindof works with Android apps, what's the chance that they can keep up with all the updates and changes? The new standard is automatic updates on all your devices.

There is a nice youtube video
on using Sailfish OS on a phone

I kind of liked the information video.

I know almost nothing about smartphones
but it looked like I would buy one
if it had the right price :)

So if we compare with Ubuntu on same
hardware would they have same apps
and same user experience?

Does anybody know?

I have a rather expensive Nokia E75-1
that fail to run some applications.

A video having .ogg the Rel Player on it
fail to show the video but play the sound.
that is on some video clips so maybe
an update of th realplayer would solve it.

But I don't have the knowledge to do such updates.
It use Symbian so very few care about the OS now.

Haha forgot to give the link.
Why Sailfish is better as a modern OS? Here is a comparison
