New install boots to Grub

#1 Post by r3bol »

Hi, I've just used to the latest live USB version of Puppy with the Universal installer to install PuppyOS to my laptop's harddrive. All seems to have gone well, but when I boot the laptop (without the USB), it just boots to the grub> commandline.

How do I get it to boot into the the OS installed on the harddrive?

Thanks.

Which Puppy version are you installing?

Is this a frugal or full install?

Go to the System menu and run Legacy Grub Config 2013.

Select Quick Mode.

Hi I was just checking to see what type of install I did (going through the install again), and noticed there was some other boot install options. I tried the one that was recommended in the description, and it successfully booted my system afterwards. :)
