Replying to yourself and thus knocking your post out of the list of unanswered posts isn't going to help.
What is minicom?
What keyboard layout are you using?
Does the numlock switch off by itself, and the numlock key not work to switch it on again?
Does it work when you are not using minicom?

Dear sir,

sorry if i was wrong,

The key board i am using is IBM pattern key board of microsoft company
and works fine with the puppy in GUI mode.
Minicom is terminal based software which gives us connectivity solution for serial communication.
if i use puppy with GUI. and open minicom in terminal ROXTerm. then it works fine. numpad also works fine.

In text mode numpad works but when i use puppy in the text mode, and open minicom then numpad get inactive.

Regards
rohan

Many (most?) Puppies set the TERM environmental variable incorrectly for the Linux text console. This causes problems for various applications, including minicom. You can work-around this by always starting minicom with this command when using the text console:
Code:
TERM=linux minicom
