BetaFTPD ftp server not working in pup2.0x (workaround)

The BetaFTPD ftp server does not seem to be working properly in pups 2.0 and 2.1.

1) It only downloads folders and filenames - no content, uploads are OK
2) It won't switch off

I've tried this on 2 computers using LiveCDs with pfix=ram.
Internet & network connections are fine.

Anybody else have the same problem?
Anybody else got it working?

It doesnt work for me either.
I was trying to share files and thought it must be be,
but I just tried 109 and it worked straight away.

Beta-FTPD FTP server is still broken in pup2.02SM
same symptoms as for 2.00 & 2.01
