An out-of-state buddy called last night and expressed woes over his netbook, which suffered a borked Ubuntu upgrade.

I sent him links via email showing him how to get Slacko Puppy running from a USB drive, and showing also how to access his files.

He called back this morning and said he liked it so much that he'd done a frugal install and would be using Slacko full-time...

And then you can imagine all the fools out there with viruses all over their HD and boot time like turtle. Why folks want jump over to linux is telling me mankind average IQ is declining
