boot floppy needed?

#1 Post by jus407 »

i ran pup linux completely in ram and then went to start>setup>install to hard disk i went through all the setup installed to its own hard drive and when it asked for a floppy disk to make a boot floppy i said no i dotn have one thats blank and it said it woudl install grub loader or i had the option to install grub loader well it never gave me that option to install it so do i have to use the boot floppy since it didnt install grub? or should i just reinstall puppy to fix the problem?

because installation is so quick, i'd just re-install. perhaps when you first installed you've taken a wrong option...it's easy to do. when i'm offered the grub option, i always take the "simple grub install", and install to mbr, and this has always worked for me. i don't think i've ever made a boot floppy since using at least 5 different versions of pup.
