U3 has been just released and it's cheaper, 59$. U2 and U3 will share the same kernel.

You can find the shipping cost just by checking out the items you want in the site shop.
If you have a RTL8188CUS based wireless adapter it should work without problems, it's supported by odroid, I think different chipsets may need extra work to run. James may help you better than me on this

The list of supported wifi cards is in the kernel config file (which, for ubuntu image, is inside; I'm not sure where you can find one for android but I believe the list is more or less the same for both); I can upload that list if needed.

If your wifi card is not in the list, and you want to use it for the official android/ubuntu release, you can raise a request in hardkernel forum to get it compiled - I can't compile for you because the kernel module must be compiled *with the same compiler used to compile the kernel* --- and I'm not sure what compiler they use.

For FatdogArm, yes I can compile new kernel modules or even new kernel for you. I will also upload the full kernel sources I used for all FatdogArm releases so you can build new modules yourself if you wish.

@jamesbond -- what happens to all your ARM systems after you get FatDogARM running on them? I'm particularly interested in the ODROID-U2 -- I want one so bad it hurts, but they're now discontinued (in favor of a new model that's bigger Rolling Eyes ) and they've still yet somehow not hit eBay...

Those ARM boxes do not add much heat to my space heater server farm... But I wonder if a watt per lines of compiled code would be higher than say my 3Ghz i7 quad core... Laughing

I am ready to give this a go on my MK802, I am currently downloading fd-arm.sfs and already finished downloading a10-mk802ii-kernel.tar.gz,are these the correct files. Also if I understand this correctly all I need to do is extract the a10-mk802ii-kernel.tar.gz to a bootable micro sd, then copy over the fd-arm.sfs put the micro sd into the mk802 and power up. Is that correct?

If you have the original MK802 (not MK802ii) then use a10-mele kernel. Yes basically you extract the kernel package and fd-arm.sfs to the sd-card, but you need to do a little more. The full steps are here: http://distro.ibiblio.org/fatdog/web/arm-latest.html#a10_a20.

@Jamesbond

In your experience, for a desktop OS as Fatdog which board is better: Cubieboard or ODROID.
I'm thinking of buying one of the new models: Cubieboard 3 (Cubietruck) or ODROID-U3 and your experience as developer is very valuable and meaningful for me.
