copy and paste problems

#1 Post by john55 »

with Rox file manager I am able to drag folders to new locations to copy but am unable to copy any other way. when trying to copy and paste a folder by right clicking with the mouse I simply get a "copy" window appear with the path of the current folder. I simply want to be able to copy and paste like I can in windows by right clicking (selecting copy) and right clicking in the new location and selecting paste. What am I doing wrong in puppy?

Thanks for your suggestion but is there anyway to copy the file / folder simply by right click of the mouse, instead of typing in a path to copy or having to drag things into other windows?

There's nothing wrong, it's just the way ROX works. Check the "Rox File manager alternatives" thread in the users section. I've downloaded the multicopypaste utility that you can use as an add-on for ROX. Works fine.
