Is there a place where this Puppy is described more fully? I know I must be missing something , but why is there a version so large that it needs a DVD?

Its only 698 megs for cd 2 gig for dvd . When csipesz makes a version he usually adds a lot of apps and stuff. If you look at his screenshots you will see all the stuff he has added. In puppy "fatty" by csipesz there are tons of apps its a 3 gig download.

so, only I didn't know such a nicely worded, like NickAu...
I prepare any materials which you can use on a desert island, too
(Anyway, my experience: the "precise" systems is the most-most usable; in particular, the 5.5! It is simply the best! - he would be, but it is also has a type-error:
a basic app, the gparted cannot making swap-partition map in 5.5, i don't know, why...)
