Are these contained within bleachbit-1.0.sfs?

No! The devx is available through the same server your Puppy ISO was and pygtk is available through your Puppy package manager. Pycairo & pygobject will come along as dependencies of pygtk.

Lots of dependencies to add for a task that's suposed to free space, sounds to me like little bash script that runs on init/shutdown and proper browser configuration in preferences could solve (delete data at every browser close or every X days etc... )

You are absolutely right... It's ok if you have these dependencies pre-installed for some reason (for example, i think that openshot uses them) but if not, it's better to use a small script. And that's a really nice idea my friend, maybe we should create a "Puppy bleachbit". :)

Well, I already have the devx installed, but need to "shop" for the pygtk. I loaded PPM and asked it to find pygtk -- it said "not found"...

I don't use PPM to add software, only to remove it -- so maybe I don't know how to make it find the package. I was about to go to the Debian collection to find the missing pieces. Is there a better way?

(I like the looks of this -- I have an ongoing fight with FF and it's crap files filling up my user space)

It's really simple to install pygtk on Slacko but i couldn't make it work on Dpup Wheezy. I'll try to create a "FF sweep" script asap for you... :)

Evening all....

when firefox went from 3 to 4 the minimum I could reduce the profile too went from ~5mb to the ~20MB mark ..the writing was on the wall... and I like to keep things tiny....I am sitting on version 3.6. I also notice Opera does not suffer from profile bloat...might be worth trying but perhaps pre webkit.

Is there not a python pet or sfs floating around..my 2.7 sfs is around 7mb made from debian...ok not the latest but much smaller than using the devx every time.

Agreed that looks like a bash script job... python is neat..I have some really handy scripts but it is default in mainstream distros whereas puppy has this devx do dah arrangement.

mike signing off and fixing punctures.
