GTK Theme, Orange-2, A Theme with Richer Color

Hi,

This is my first .pet package ever... a very fulfilling experience :P

Should work on anything with GTK-2... meaning Puppy 4x and on... I don't remember what Puppies 1x, 2x, and 3x have in them.

I built it in Fatdog64 520 b3. I had the the 64/32 bit compatibility .sfs mounted in Fatdog when I installed, but I don't think there's anything there that would cause a problem. Should work in pretty much any Puppy... but testers are welcome since this is my first dance with .pet building.

I made this theme pretty much for my taste... I don't really like a lot of themes. Most themes are blue/grey which gives me repulsive reminders of Windows, or black which is a little too radical for me, or jump out at me colorful like clear-looks which is a little frightening to me...

Hey, not trying to knock anybody's taste... just not for me, that's all.

Okay, so I'm going for just a richer feeling like Tudor colors maybe. Something that's kind of warm, cozy and comfortable. Just try it out, people. If you hate it, that's okay

If anyone likes it, I may try again...

Thanks,

Eathray

NOTE:

I should mention, in my example image, my GTK theme is mixed with the Openbox theme called Squadron... that accounts for any difference in the header.

INVITATION:

Feedback welcome... like I said... my first try. It creates a little anxiety wondering if anyone will like it or not

tested on puppy 4.12

Installed and appeared in the xfce4 theme chooser no problem.
Works just fine.

Nice colour balance...only comment would be to make the orange text a little darker for better contrast.

There ya go .... feedback :)

Awesome Mike,

Thanks for testing it out for me. Now I can say with confidence it works in 4x 32bit and 5x 64bit... That right there covers a huge compatibility range for Puppy.

If I could get some lucid/deb and slacky types to test as well...

That would tell me it's got broad compatibility.

Okay, thanks again.

Anyone else jump in...
