Mounting an iTouch4 on Puppy 4.3 ?

I just came back home after a few years of travel, and all I have here is an old beat up pc with puppy 4.3 on it, and I'm hoping to pull a few pictures off my itouch.

Plugged it in, nothing comes up. I've forgotten how to work with puppy exactly,how to mount things manually..
Started looking around and found this thread. But it's for puppy 5.
Package manager doesn't find either gtkpod or usbmuxd. I tried to get it from the links in the aforementioned thread, but the .pets come out as .man, and I can't tell what to do with them.

I realize it might be a long shot, but does anyone know of a way to get the iTouch4 to come up on puppy 4.3?
