The title seems to say it all. Google chrome on 5.2.8.6 is so bad that I would rate it as a "do not install". It seems like if a page takes longer than some time limit to load, chrome crashes. It is almost like they made the part that does the load blunder ahead with no checking and a separate task that imposes a timeout rather than having the loading check for actual trouble and put up a message and / or try again. Once one page causes a crash, everything loading at that time seems to crash. I suggest that if it can't be fixed, the item be taken out of the repo so that new users don't see that as a problem with puppy.

I am currently running a copy in VirtualBox to see if the crash happens in that copy. VirtualBox's network is a bit slower than direct network connection.

The Chrome in question is Google_Chrome-19-Lucid-2.pet

(un)fortunately, things have gotten very busy at work so I haven't looked at the Chrome issue, the new version of pmount or the Kicad projects yet this month. It is likely, I would work of the pmount first when I get time.
