Sub_title: feedback

. These run on a custom amd-64 box with an external usb DVD drive, 8 GB of memory and only Linux Mint_12-64 for storage. Each attempt at trying more recent puppy versions has met with difficulty and I am back to check the forum to see what I'm doing wrong.
The download of puppy_5.7.1.iso to the root/my documents folder in RAM with puppy_5.4.3 and burning to DVD-RW with Burniso2cd and with Pburn both made good DVDs. It was a mistake to use Linux Mint_14-64 (live) and Brasero to try to burn the puppy_5.7.1 from the .iso saved to hard drive. Thanks.

This tells us nothing. Shocked
Answer these questions if you really want some help.

Versions of Puppy are not made to work on every possible computer.
Certain versions work better on specific computer hardware.

Also, you are using a earlier version of Precise Puppy and it did have some bugs.
The latest version is Precise 5.7.1
You can get it here:

Thanks trapster. I look forward to looking at eaglemode.pet

Thanks bigpup. I will follow the instructions on your link Posted: Tue 26 Nov 2013, 12:10 Post subject: IF YOU NEED HELP

My aim was to post about how much I like Puppy Linux. I learned yesterday that some recommend installing puppy .iso from a RAM copy using BurnISO2cd and I previously used Brasero from an .iso saved to hard drive without any difficulty. I believed the problem was with my method, not the versions.
