OpenGL not working?

#1 Post by christhi »

Hey!

This is Slacko 5.3.1 related.

I play some 3D games that are using both SDL and OpenGL.

On Lucid Pup they used to work flawlessly after install the "Xorg High" package do drivers, but on Slacko I can't make them to start after doing the same...

In the command line, the logs were saying that everything was okay (SDL working fine) except that the "OpenGL subsystem" was not responding. Error code 107. I haven't tried doing this with the Devx sfs loaded, so I don't know if that's related, but it shouldn't be.

And NO it's not a problem with my video card or whatever. I've been starting up the same games with the same computer under Lupu and still works... I'd just like to make it work under Slacko.

On desktop run Slickpet.
Go to drivers tab.
Run click here to test your graphics card.
Are you using the recommended driver?
The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.
When I was a kid I wanted to be older.... This is not what I expected
