Glad to hear :)

I hope to see more of this here in the United States, I think it would help save tax dollars here as well. While I'm not looking to deprive Microsoft of sales or run them out of business (they have employees who need a paycheck, too,) I think it will help bring down prices and make the market more competitive, something which I think is badly needed in the software industry. :)

Perhaps this is something I could pitch to my local governments. as well...

EDIT: I found a comparison guideline between Office 2013 and LibreOffice here, although I suspect it may be a bit "slanted" coming from the document foundation.

Thanks for that, Terriphy!

(But, haven't we in the UK heard this before ... to no effect?).

How about raising a Freedom of Information request, via your MP, to ask:

- how much taxpayers' money has UK govt. (national and local) handed over to M$ Corp and Adobe, on an annual basis?

...and maybe making sure that the Grauniad etc. became aware of the answer?
