I would still love to know how to get proper NVIDIA drivers working on this. I am now on an Nvidia GeForce 9300 GE.

Thank you to anyone that can help, that is all that is keeping me from enjoying this...
...as the latest Amikit distrobution? :)

w-a-r-n-i-n-G This was for generic distros, not puppy specific,
so try it on an experimental puppy setup first, and maybe do a google search first for extra luck.

In the old days,
1. install kernel source and dev files,
2. Download the nvidia driver for your graphics card from the linux
area at nvidia website, and put it in /

3. reboot, and command telinit 3

4. login as needed, and command

sh /name-of-installer

5. during the install, accept the license agreement, and the update of xorg.conf.

6. command telinit 6

7. Reboot, and if successful, before the login screen, you'll see a brief NVidia logo splash-screen.

Good luck! Now I'm in the mood for some SlamTilt!

Simple Screen Recorder is now the application to use with Puppy Linux AMIPUP is a Slacko 5.6.
Xvidcap will always do its job, whatever the Puppy is vintage or Ubuntu, tharpup, xenial or newer (soon), because Xvidcap has all necessary stuff included in the pet. "Il est autonome".
