How much memory is really free?

#1 Post by Bert »

My Puppy box has 512MB RAM memory.
After installing Puppy 2.01 there's only 140MB Free Ram left.

512MB minus Puppy minus 32MB shared video memory = 140MB Free
Is this normal?

Thanks!
Bert

Thank you Mark,

When the mouse cursor hovers over the little blue square in the lower right corner of the screen, the words "Free Memory" appear. That's a bit confusing.
Perhaps "Free Ramdisk" or "Free Disk" would be better?
