Apple wants to be like MS so badly that they have copied the MS modus operandi.
Now that Google is no longer contributing to webkit, IE is likely to surpass Safari in HTML5 support. Add to that all of the non-standard webkit-* features (especially for mobile safari) and you get the same types of incompatibilities that web devs complained about for years.

Its OK though; not only is Apple repeating MS mistakes, they are also repeating their own. Here's to iDevices being the next Mac.
