Mirra project

#1 Post by earlytv »

I wanted to have a system to try out and play with BROWSERLINUX 501.
I found a Segate Mirra server case that I installed a Intel DN2800MT board.
I installed 501 and all worked fine. With orig firefox running CLICK HELP then ABOUT FIREFOX and a update screen comes up, it took 501 from ver 5 to ver 12 and then to ver 26 FIREFOX and all seems to be fine except for some flash screens. Shockwave flash seems to be running not normal FLASH.
HOW WOULD I GET NORMAL FLASH?
Next I wanted a different wallpaper screen and found that a right click on the firefox screen icon gets you a backdrop button and with that you can drop a new JPEG PIC.
WHY BROWSERLINUX?
I am retired 8 years now and have MANY systems, some are win 9x
for which there are no new browsers. GOAL is to have BROWSERLINUX be its browser which puts any downloads on the 9X drive.
WHY? Because I have a ton of software and games for 9X.
Once I get browserlinux where I would like it HOW DO I BURN A NEW CD WITH ALL THE CHANGES?

Hi.
Normal flash? Something like this?
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=84267
.
The background what You want put into /usr/share/backgrounds.
.
First run Your Puppy live and create the pupsave file. Next make changes. Then:
Menu > Settings > Puppy Puppy live-cd
and create Your own Puppy iso file.
