Free memory applet problem

#1 Post by 3133 »

Puppy 2.01. Saving to hard drive. Ran out of memory during a download. Memory applet reported 'None'. Every time I boot now, the flashing 'None' appears. although xproc tells me I have over 300Mb available.

The Memory applet doesn't tell anything about RAM. It tells how much space is left on your Puppy filesystem. In 2.01 it is default 512 mb. To increase the size:

Menu --> Utilities --> Resize personal storage size

Thanks, zigbert, for pointing out my mistaken ideas of the applet function. All now well.
