Angband 3.5 in Slacko 5.6

The .pet installs angband just fine, however, you'll need to type in:

/usr/local/games/angband -mgcu

to run it in console/urxvt.

The file is also... kinda fat, at 17.6 MB. I'm probably not going to dig into making it smaller, but I have made it into a .sfs. I added a tiny script to /usr/bin with the .sfs, called angband, that runs angband with the above settings.

ANGBAND SFS: http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?fi ... 2106861013

This is all built from the source off of github.com/angband as of today, by the way. Dunno if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Only played through floor one to make sure it worked. :D

Tested in Slacko 5.6... probably works elsewhere. Let me know if it doesn't. I'm willing to give compiling it on other Puppies a try if anyone wants.

Thoughts, suggestions, other feedback?

Enjoy,

The SFS appeared to work fine on Precise Puppy 5.7.1.

Did not feel like the playing field was stretched beyond its normal size in the Urxvt Terminal.

I did not continue to investigate because I am one of those horrible people who demand graphics in their games.

But the game works in Precise Puppy.

Yeah, that was acutally my bad. Running it with the -mgcu option seems to fix that. Just didn't check it again in urxvt before I posted. So... the double wide screen thing shouldn't be a problem for most people. >_<
