How to turn off notebook screen when using external monitor?

I'm using a notebook and often I connect it to an external monitor (VGA connector)

How can I disconnect the notebook monitor, in order to have only the external monitor?

have you tried zarfy, grandr, arandr, or lxrandr? i think all have that capability...

In PPM LXRandR 0.1.2
than, from command line, I could also correct wrong settings to my external monitor.
