How to Increase personal storage in flash drive?

#1 Post by w1av »

Hi,

I would like to know how to increase my "personal storage" on my usb flash drive. I originally set it for Approx 785MB but I am using a bigger usb drive and have alot more room. I would like to increase the storage space to 1G

Thanks

Don't you have the option under *utility?* The file itself is, or was >> resizepfile.sh

menu->Utility-> resize personal storage file.

You can also store stuff in /mnt/home
This is the top layer of the flash drive file system structure, outside of the save file.
The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.
When I was a kid I wanted to be older.... This is not what I expected :shock:

save file woes

#4 Post by w1av »

OK I figured out how to increase the size of saved file but now it takes too long to boot and shut down!!!! How can I DELETE the save file and store what is in it (my saved settings) into mnt/home? Or do some kind of full install that doesnt need a saved settings file, because my media is a 16GIG usb flash drive. There is alot of room on there to store a few more programs and my settings without having to resort to a saved file. The saved file takes waaaay too long to boot once I increased it! HELP!
