The author does seem to be a bit doolally though. Conspiracy theorist with knobs on.

Well, Puppy, and Barry broke my cherry.

When it came to learning Linux. It was my first live cd.
human beings make excellent random output generators.
I like his/her youthful enthusiasm. The person bubbles with optimism.

I do not know about the review but the StartPage search engine (mentioned there) is fantastic. Google results without google tracking!
Even more you can visit the results pages through their proxy so other sites can not track you either. Pretty cool 8)

StartPage

Hi mavrothal,

Thank you for bringing StartPage to my attention (I had skip-read the review, but I missed the important reference to StartPage).

It was added to SeaMonkey with a single click after enabling JavaScript and I then searched "mavrothal" as shown in the screen shot (with JavaScript now disabled) and StartPage worked rapidly and well.

However, if ,for example, I copy a url using 'paste and go' that does not seem to use StartPage, perhaps because that may not constitute a search, and I would be pleased if you, or anyone who knows, would be so kind as to comment.

My regards

Addendum:

PS I wonder if this link may be of interest:

I'm not sure I understand what you ask.
You want to paste a URL in the address window or tho the search window? And you want to search for this URL or to connect to it through the StartPage (lxquick) proxy?

Hmm, I think we are derailing this thread.
Maybe open a new one on StartPage/Proxies etc?
