D-Link DWA-125

#1 Post by milesteg »

I can not seem to resolve getting my USB wifi adapter working with Precise Puppy 5.7.1 retro. The machine I am using is going off windows XP to this puppy distro. The USB wifi is D-Link DWA-125.

I have to admit, I am not a sophisticated user. Here is what I tried:
I tried the Ndiswindows using the windows XP driver I have (vendor CD). No luck there. I have also tried several of the other wireless USB drivers native to the retro load hoping one of those would work - no dice.

I can scan networks - just not connect.

I have 2+ hours into is to I thought time to ask for help. I like puppy, use it for live CD but intend to use it as main distro for this machine if I can resolve this issue.

Help appreciated. Thank you

Yes! I realise the difference ...but So see if a Slacko560 might work.
