What version of Puppy?
What Window manager?
this window is generated by demo written in FreePascal Compiler.
More details?

Could be as simple as not compiled properly for Puppy?

Yes - before blaming the window manager you'd better test with some other WMs. It seems unlikely that is the problem.
Do you know a good gtkdialog program? Please post a link here
