strange bug in skype

Sub_title: skype and 5.7.1

I can get skype to work in 5.7.1. but when using it , i get a very bad fluter on the received image. the other person said their image was good. the way i get over it is click on the video icon this stops the fluter but i lose the small image of my self. so i cannot see what i am sending.
seamonkey. Dell 3000. 3 Gig cpu
2 Gig ram. running from a DVD
I am connected via ether net, i was told by my ISP this faster than wifi
any thoughts on this matter ?????

What is the graphics hardware on computer?
Are you using the manufactures driver?

I have found, in trying to help people, that the things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.
When I was a kid I wanted to be older.... This is not what I expected Shocked
