I have not confirmed this is based on puppy linux as known here,

This is indeed based on Puppy; Slacko 5.6 to be exact, see here, http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... da43e7651b.
A very good job it is to. I have used it and it looks quite stunning.

$9.95 for rom 1.3, as used for many old classic games,
includes 40 games, or $29.95 for a bootable CD with
all the old roms (sundry a2000/a3000/4000/a1200/CD32)
with 100 games and more content. Amikit has
cobbled together most of the best system utilities
and eyecandy created over the last 25 years,
to offer an easy road for the computer time traveler.
